4th ELEMYNT
I’ll make this journey to Cricketville quick, since I really don’t have much to say! Lol
4th Elemynt was poised to be the Dru Hill of Gospel (that wasn’t hard to guess with the blond-haired Sisqo look alike), but they weren’t even around long enough to even be remembered. Signed to Tonex’s then record label MSS Records, Jessie, Michael, Eddie and DaWann released their debut CD “Elemyntal” almost 11 years ago. And pretty much after that it was, well you know, CRICKETS!
I do remember someone giving me their album, but for the life of me I don’t think I ever played it and if I did I have no idea what it sounded like. Well that’s it, that’s all. If anyone knows what happened to this group or their whereabouts holla at your boy!

I’m not sure what happened to them but I do remember the album…I still have the CD at home. That had a good sound from what I remember but it’s too bad things didn’t work out for whatever reason.

I remember these guys. I can’t recall any of their songs though. They hit the scene around 1999/2000. The church my family was attending had them come and sing for Watch Night service to bring in the millennium. They weren’t bad but were a little rough around the edges as far as their stage presence. I’ll never forget, between songs, one of them yelled something like, “We say we’re for God, but we let FAGS teach our kids!” It came out of nowhere and the church was like, Ummm, okay??? I think I actually heard crickets that night Gerald.
Not long after that I heard one of the group members fathered a child out of wedlock with the daughter of the praise and worship leader. It can happen. I think people stopped taking them seriously and maybe they realized they should take a break to get themselves together. I can respect that.
This post reminded me of another male group that vanished around the same time… Winans Phase 2… What happened to them?!?!

This group was on Tonex’s record label back in the day, but like all the other artist back then, disappeared. Tonex himself went through some crazy life situations.
While I as a student at the University of California at Santa Barbara our director brought them out to one of our concerts and they were very good. We were all in the green room together, but I didn’t know who they were are the time They perform their song, “Eye and Ears”. They had excellent harmony.
